“નેતૃત્વ” વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે એક દિવસીય વ્યક્તિત્વ વિકાસ કાર્યશાળા.
આપણે સહુ જાણીએ છીએ કે સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદ એ યુવાનોના આદર્શ અને મહાન નેતા છે.
સી. યુ. શાહ કોલેજના સીડબલ્યુડીસી સેલ અને વિવેકાનંદ કેન્દ્ર, પશ્ચિમ કર્ણાવતી નગરના સંયુક્ત ઉપક્રમે એક દિવસીય કાર્ય શાળાનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. ખૂબ જ પ્રોત્સાહક તેવા આ કાર્યક્રમમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો હતો. વિવેકાનંદ કેન્દ્ર, પશ્ચિમ કર્ણાવતી નગરના કાર્યકર્તાઓ આ કાર્યશાળા માટે ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. કાર્યક્રમની શરૂઆત પ્રાર્થના સાથે થઈ હતી. ઉદ્ઘાટન સત્રમાં પ્રિન્સીપાલ શ્રી બ્રિજેશ ભટ્ટ સાહેબે સહભાગીઓને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યા. લગભગ 75 જેટલા સહભાગીઓ આ કાર્યક્રમમાં ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. પ્રથમ સત્રમાં કોમ્યુનિકેશન સ્કિલ અંગે માર્ગદર્શન આપવામાં આવ્યું હતું. ગવર્નમેન્ટ એમ.સી.એ કોલેજના શ્રી. ગિરીશભાઇ બ્રહ્મભટ્ટ આ સત્રના વક્તા હતા. તેઓએ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને કોમ્યુનિકેશન એટલે શું તે અંગે માર્ગદર્શન આપ્યું. આપણી વાત સામી વ્યક્તિને તે જ સ્વરુપે અને અસરકારક રીતે રજૂ કરવી તે કોમ્યુનિકેશન છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે માત્ર એક બીજા સાથે વાત કરવી તે કોમ્યુનિકેશન ન કહેવાય. તમારી વાત તથા સંદેશ સામી વ્યક્તિ સુધી તમે સમજો છો તે જ સ્થિતિમાં પહોંચે તે કોમ્યુનિકેશન છે. આ વાત દ્વારા, ક્રિયા દ્વારા અથવા ક્યારેક તો માત્ર આંખો દ્વારા પણ થઈ શકે છે. આ જ સાચો વ્યક્તિત્વ વિકાસ, વ્યક્તિત્વનું ઉત્થાન છે. આ સાથે જ તમારે એક સાંભળનાર વ્યક્તિ નહીં, પરંતુ સાચા શ્રોતા બનવું જોઈએ. આ કૌશલ્યનો અસરકારક વિકાસ તમને સફળ બનાવે છે. ત્યારબાદના સત્રમાં સહભાગીઓના ચાર ગણ બનાવી ચાર રમતો રમાડવામાં આવી હતી, જેમાં બૌદ્ધિક અને શારીરિક રમતો હતી. તેમજ ગ્રુપ ડિસ્કશન પણ રાખવામાં આવ્યું હતું, જેનો વિષય હતો “મારો આદર્શ કોણ? ” અને સહભાગીઓએ તેની પ્રસ્તુતિ ખૂબ સુંદર રીતે કરી હતી.

કાર્યશાળાના અંતમાં સમાપન સમયે સી. યુ. શાહ સાયંસ કોલેજના આચાર્ય ડો. સુનીલ પારેખ સાહેબે વિદ્યાર્થીઓને તેઓના ઉજ્જ્વળ ભવિષ્ય માટે આશીર્વાદ આપ્યા. વિદ્યાર્થીઓ તથા કેન્દ્રના કાર્યકર્તા વચ્ચે ચર્ચા થઈ. સંકલન સ્વરુપે એમ કહી શકાય કે આ સમગ્ર કાર્યક્રમ વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે પ્રેરણાદાયી હતો જેમાં તેમને શારીરિક, બૌદ્ધિક અને માનસિક વિકાસ માટે માર્ગદર્શન મળ્યું.

કોલેજના સીડબલ્યુડીસી સેલના ઇન્ચાર્જ શ્રીમતી જાનકી એસ વૈદ્ય આ કાર્યક્રમના સંયોજક હતા.

Every child is god gifted. The objective of the cultural committee is to provide cultural environment, opportunity and platform to students to exhibit their talent which is very essential in their circular growth.

All colleges affiliated to the Gujarat University are divided in the five zones. C.U.Shah Science College falls in the “Ellisbridge North Zone”. Usually youth welfare department organizes zonal youth festival by the end of the September every year. Cultural committee organizes different events and competitions prior this youth festival. Viz. music, dance, literary events, theatre, fine arts etc. Winner students of the college in each event represents college in the respective event. Winner at zonal level compete at inter zonal level.

College has won 18 prizes so far at zonal level and a prize at inter zonal level.

In the second term, committee organizes cultural festival that comprises events like singing, instrument playing, group and solo dance, skit, one act play, mime, poetry recitation and poetry completion, wall painting etc.
