સી.યુ.શાહ સાયન્સ કોલેજ, આશ્રમ રોડ, અમદાવાદ તેના NCC યુનિટ દ્વારા 7મી એપ્રિલ, 2022 ના રોજ સી. યુ. શાહ સાયન્સ કોલેજ અમદાવાદના કેમ્પસમાં વિશ્વ આરોગ્ય સંસ્થા “આપણો ગ્રહ અમારું સ્વાસ્થ્ય” દ્વારા આપવામાં આવેલી 2022 ની થીમને કેપ્ચર કરીને વિશ્વ આરોગ્ય દિવસની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવી હતી, પ્રથમ, બીજા અને ત્રીજા વર્ષના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ, NCC કેડેટ્સ અને કોલેજના ફેકલ્ટી સભ્યોએ આ વિશ્વ આરોગ્ય દિવસ- 2022 માં ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો છે.
પૂર્વ નિર્ધારિત કાર્યક્રમ મુજબ કાર્યક્રમ યોજાયો હતો.
સુખાકારી અને વધુ સારા સ્વાસ્થ્યને પ્રોત્સાહન આપતી આવી પ્રવૃત્તિઓ સાથે દિવસની ઉજવણી કરવામાં આવી હતી.
નીચેના બે પ્રકારની પ્રવૃત્તિઓ હાથ ધરવામાં આવી હતી.
1. “માઇન્ડ-બોડી રિલેશનશિપ, એકની અસર બીજા પર શું અસર કરે છે” વિષય પર એક્સપર્ટ લેક્ચર

2. આરોગ્ય સંબંધિત વિષયો પર પોસ્ટર/ઓરલ પ્રેઝન્ટેશન જેમ કે…

About NCC :

  • The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of Armed Forces with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India.
  • It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
  • The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India.
  • The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.

NCC Motto and Aim :

  • The discussion for motto of NCC was started in 11th central advisory meeting (CAD) held on 11 August 1978. At that time there were many mottos in mind like “Duty and Discipline”; “Duty, Unity and Discipline”; “Duty and Unity”; “Unity and Discipline”.
  • Later, at the 12th CAD meeting on 12 Oct 1980 they selected and declared “Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC.
  • In living up to its motto, the NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation, bringing together the youth hailing from different parts of the country and moulding them into united, secular and disciplined citizens of the nation.

Objectives of NCC in India :

  • N.C.C. is the self-motivated organization of young Boys and Girls all over the country.
  • The NCC organization aims to develop character, discipline, team spirit, ideals of selfless services and adventure spirits amongst large numbers of young citizens and to accomplish the requirements expected in the socio-economic scenario in India.
  • To create a pool of skilled, organized and motivated youth with various leadership qualities in every walk of their live and serve the Nation irrespective of career they choose.
  • To provide a sound environment towards motivating large numbers of young people of India to join armed forces.

Advantages of Joining NCC :

  • By joining NCC students not only get military training but the students also learn many other valuable things such as self-sacrifice, sincerity, discipline, hard work and ways to build confidence and gain leadership qualities.
  • NCC teaches both unity and discipline as core values. Every individual has to rely on core values irrespective of the stream or sector he/she choose in life.
  • The N.C.C. unit grabs internal training like drill (with and without arms), weapon training (0.303 dp Rifle SLR, LMG), external training participate in sports / games, camps like Annual Training Camp, SthalSainik Camp, Army Attachment Camp, National Integration Camp, Republic Day Camp and adventure camps like hiking, trekking, rope climbing, river crossing, rock climbing, horse riding etc.
  • Under the regime of exchange programme, there are a few selected students who get an opportunity to visit other countries and learn various things which are practiced in other nations and exchange experiences with cadets who happen to come to India from foreign lands.
  • NCC cadets get firsthand opportunity to be the part of Indian armed forces, Indian Naval Forces and Indian Air Forces depending on your chosen battalion.

At our college :

  • Since last years, students have joined NCC and doing best from their side and also take part in many activities at NCC organization.
  • So many students are going for RDC, TSC, NIC, CATC and many other Army camps.
